Fact is, the brightest, shiniest people use Twitter. The rest of us are losers.

I'm well-qualified in the role too.

I guess u need some sort of intellect to fathom how to converse over there?

Twitter takes conversation to a new level. It's a level of paid subscription accounts for entertainers and mainstream media broadcasters. You'll see this evolving with the key players like Wossy in the UK, Stephen Fry worldwide and even Ryan Tubridy in Ireland.

I recount what I said earlier. I know would like to put it on the record that Ryan Tubridy can suck my hairy Irish balls.

    Stephen Fry's a good laugh though :)

I'll stick to my low level of intellect and menial conversation. I am ok with being a D-list celebrity. Or even Z list.

Oh, I think you're definitly on the highly prestiged xXx list by association, Mel. FYI, my id and ego are card-carrying members. ;)

    Jesus H Christ, Bernie!

If you by "brightest", you mean people that are good at making people listen to them, then yes they use Twitter.

If you mean by "brighest", you mean people who like the sound of their own voice (not always a bad thing I'll have to say), then yes they use Twitter.

Twitter is becoming mainstream. It (like Jaiku) does not have the problems of mainstream, as you can choose on who you want to listen to.

If to use Twitter, you need to be bright and shiny, I, thankfully, am not one of them.

Twitter for a user with a different usage in mind.

I have been looking at how people use Twitter, and I have to say, it is becoming the same way alot of the blogosphere is, back-slapping, you're not in the gang, yada yada type mentality.

To be honest, I open my Twitter client once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and maybe once during the day.

I feel exactly the same as @constantine regarding Twitter: http://www.esyurl.com/em7

"if i depended on tweets and retweets to stay up to date i would turn into an idiot. i would rather be the one known for sharing awesome shit than the guy sitting in a chair at the end of the assembly line in a pie factory, stuffing my face silly with whatever it is they decided to make that day."

    And that is exactly it.

I'll stick to Jaiku, IM and IRC.

Now, for the love of Dog, and God, will you shut up about it! Its chalk and cheese! I hear enough of this shite in TWiT podcasts to last me the week.

@jezlyn I know! But for the love of Jeebus Chripes, just stop! Maybe we need to change the subject:

    Vi is better than emacs!

watching @wtb get riled up for some reason is making my bleary Monday seem better. And I'm going to say Vi.

    @rwb: I see. :)

And I don't really like either, but I did use emacs because that's what I had experience with in college. Never learned vi, and at this point, I don't see the need to. I'm one of those GUI people now.
